Police searching for Mt. Pleasant armed robbery suspect

MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - Mt. Pleasant police say they are searching for an armed robbery suspect who is out on bond and considered armed and dangerous.

Officer say Calvin Vanderhorst, 18, is wanted on three warrants for an armed robbery that took place at 1633 Babington Way on Tuesday around 10:15 p.m.

Authorities say they did not find Vanderhorst when they were serving a warrant on Rifle Range and Venning Roads in Mt. Pleasant Wednesday afternoon.

A release states Vanderhorst is out on bond for a June 2013 armed robbery at the Bank of America ATM located at 1929 Hwy 17 North.

According to police, a family member was taken into custody during the search for an outstanding warrant on unrelated charges.
