Body of missing man found in Jamestown Creek

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The body of a missing 75-year-old man has been found in a Jamestown creek.

According to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury, the search for the man began around 8pm Sunday night.

Berkeley County Rescue, the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office, and the Jamestown Fire Department were involved in the search.

Coroner Salisbury says crews found a hat belonging to the man near the Savannah Creek in Jamestown, then found his body, early Monday morning.

The Coroner's Office is investigating the cause of death.
