CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Charleston County Sheriff's deputies say 29-year-old Zandile Ngwenya-Ahmad has been arrested.

Ahmad was arrested Tuesday around 5 p.m. She was wanted for failing to appear in court on charges of failure to stop for a blue light, assault and battery first degree and unlawful neglect of a child.

According to Detective Christina Smith with the sheriff's office, Ahmad knew she would be caught sooner rather than later after being showcased on Live 5 News Most Wanted.

"When I heard I was on Live 5 News and that the US Marshals were after me, I knew my days were numbered," Zandile told Detective Smith.

Charleston County deputies say on May 14, 2012 Ahmad drove erratically on Highway 41 and honked her horn at several homes.

According to a police report, Ahmad tried to run drivers off the road and forced an officer to drive to the edge of a ditch to avoid being hit.

She was arrested but did not show up for court.
