Police arrest woman accused of stealing $1500 worth of perfume

WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - Charleston police officials say they have arrested a woman who is accused of stealing more than $1500 worth of perfume from the Victoria's Secret at the Citadel Mall.

Authorities arrested 26-year-old Tenisha Shamon Gibbs on Friday on Rivers Avenue.

Gibbs was wanted on five warrants of property crime enhancement and four warrants for trespassing.

Investigators say on Sept. 14, 2013, Gibbs shoplifted merchandise from the Victoria's Secret on 2070 Sam Rittenberg Blvd.

An affidavit states Gibbs took nearly 30 bottle of perfume worth $1513.

The store manager said she were able to identify Gibbs as the suspect, since she had personally placed her on trespassing notice from the store from a previous shoplifting incident.
