Summerville police investigating shots fired into home

SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - Summerville Police say they are searching for the person or persons responsible for firing shots at a home early Monday morning.

Police were called out at 2 a.m. to a home on Cherry Place in the Robynwynn neighborhood.

The victim told police that she heard four to five shots coming from outside her home as well as the sound of a speeding car leaving. Another victim had the home said she had seen a red Chevy Impala or a Honda Accord speed off.

Earlier in the evening, the victim told police that a man had come to the door. He said he was looking for someone but never provided a name. The man then left the home, speeding off in a red Impala or Accord-type vehicle.

Outside the home, police found a hole, approximately half an inch in diameter, near the bottom of a window sill of one of the bedrooms. The victim told police that people had been inside that room sleeping.
