Mount Pleasant police looking for peeping tom

MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - Authorities are on the lookout for a man suspected of watching a woman through a window at an apartment in Mount Pleasant.

On Thursday night, a Mount Pleasant police officer responded to an apartment on Harbor Pointe Drive for a suspicious person looking into a window.

The victim said around 7:10 p.m. she saw someone looking into her bedroom window. According to the victim, the suspect was sitting on the ground staring into her bedroom.

The victim told police that when the suspect became aware that the victim had seen him, he left.

Police say the victim described the suspect as a black male, 35-years-old, and wearing a black and magenta striped pants that appeared to be baggy. The victim said the suspect was also wearing a baggy white shirt or possibly jacket, and had black dreadlocks.

According to the victim, several times over the last month, she had heard noises coming from the area where the suspect was spotted. The victim said she always assumed it was an animal.
