Residents in Lincolnville get new mayor

LINCOLNVILLE, SC (WCSC) - Residents voted in a new mayor for Lincolnville Tuesday night.

Charles Duberry beat incumbent Tyrone Aiken.

Duberry received 112 votes with 53% of the vote, while Aiken received 98 votes and 47% of the vote.

The special election was held after the vote was too close to call last year. A winner couldn't be declared in the November election, after both candidates came away with 85 votes.

That's after three votes for Duberry were thrown out.
