GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A suspected drug dealer is behind bars after deputies located bags of marijuana in a car during a traffic stop in Georgetown.
The Georgetown Sheriff's Office charged 30-year-old Calvin Leonard Polite of Seabrook with drug dealing charges.
On Sunday night, deputies initiated a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle in southern Georgetown County. While deputies were speaking with the driver, authorities say a strong odor of marijuana was detected.
An incident report states that a search of the vehicle revealed five bags containing almost 100 grams of marijuana, a small baggie weighing 1.8 grams of what is believed to be cocaine, several white pills and a scale.
