USGS upgrades Summerville earthquake to 3.0 magnitude quake

SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - Officials with the United States Geological Survey have upgraded a Summerville earthquake that hit Wednesday evening from a 2.5 to a 3.0 magnitude quake.

According to officials, the earthquake was one mile southeast of Summerville and and two miles west of Ladson and hit around 6:38 p.m. on Wednesday.
