Police release surveillance picture of Walmart robbery suspect

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Investigators in North Charleston have released a surveillance picture of a man sought for a robbery at the Walmart on Dorchester Road Monday morning.

Shortly before 9 a.m., North Charleston police say the suspect entered the Oakbrook store and approached the clerk at the Money Center. Police say the man did not present a weapon, but demanded money for the clerk.

According to police, surveillance video showed the suspect being dropped off in front of the store by a red car. After the robbery, authorities say the suspect ran out of the store towards the rear of the business, and got back into the red vehicle to make his getaway.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5'9",with a beard, wearing a camouflage cap and jacket.
