BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Berkeley County Water & Sanitation lifted a boil water advisory issued for customers in the Highland Avenue and Tabby Creek area of Sangaree.

The ban had been issued Monday as a safety precaution following a water main break that occurred during a road improvement project, according to BCWS spokesperson Johanna Cooper.

All flushing of the water mains and testing of water samples has been completed and residents no longer need to boil their water before using it to drink, to cook with or make ice with, Cooper says.
