CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston police officials say a man accused of assaulting his daughter Friday night has surrendered to authorities.
The Charleston Police Department says Jerome Singleton was arrested Monday morning after turning himself in.
Officials with the CPD say Singleton punched his daughter in the face multiple times. According to police, Singleton waved a knife at one point, and then struck his daughter over the head with a broken metal table leg.
According to reports, as officers were questioning the daughter, she continued to yell, "He hit me with a pipe. He had a knife."
Witnesses told police Singleton handled his daughter "like a man," and kept throwing her around stating "I'll kill you."
