Police say the body spotted in a marsh near the North Bridge was that of a missing North Charleston man.

Police say the body of Roger Wilson, 56, was spotted Friday morning in the marsh near the North Bridge by a passing driver, the day after his sister reported him missing.

Wilson's sister told police he had been missing since Sunday, saying he had left his cell phone, credit cards and other personal information in his home but could not be located.

A cause of death has not been released by the coroner's office.
