WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - Authorities with the Charleston police are investigating a burglary at a restaurant in West Ashley.

Investigators say officers responded to the Subway at 1704 Sam Rittenberg Blvd. early Tuesday morning in reference to a burglary.

When officers arrived on scene, they observed the front door entrance had been broken. Police say it appeared that the suspect first attempted to break the back door, but was unsuccessful.

Restaurant officials reported that a single cash register had been taken. Authorities say the video security system showed a white male wearing a dark in colored hoodie and khaki pants enter the business and remove the cash register.

If you have any information you are asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
