NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Boeing bonus money could soon be flowing here in the Lowcountry.

The plant has met a deadline for both production as well as catch-up work on jobs behind schedule. The reward is said to be coming in about a week.

While Boeing would not comment specifically on the bonus, a spokeswoman gave us a bit more information about the work accomplished at the relatively new Dreamliner assembly plant in North Charleston.

"I can tell you that since the end of January, Boeing South Carolina teammates have significantly reduced jobs behind schedule across the site, and have increased the condition of assembly of aft and midbody fuselage sections being delivered to Everett and South Carolina final assembly," said Candy Eslinger a spokeswoman for Boeing."We're proud of what the South Carolina team has accomplished in a short amount of time."
