Emergency crews clear scene of Moncks Corner accident on Cooper Store Rd.

MONCKS CORNER, SC (WCSC) - Emergency crews have cleared the scene of an accident involving injuries in Moncks Corner.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident was in the area of Cooper Store Road and Pompous Lane and happened around 5:30 p.m.

Motorists in the area reported that at least one person had to be rescued from a vehicle.

Pictures from the scene showed an emergency helicopter responding to the scene.
