Two Charleston County high school seniors who made it through their 12 grades without missing a day are being honored for their accomplishment.

Christopher James Bennett, a senior from West Ashley High School, and Kaitlin Hills, a senior at Academic Magnet High School, are two of only 68 students across the state who made the perfect attendance list.

The students were recognized by State Education Superintendent Dr. Mick Zais and Charleston County School Superintendent Nancy McGinley, who said she is proud they call CCSD home.

"Attending school for over 2,000 days consecutively is a wonderful achievement and speaks to their dedication, drive and passion for learning," McGinley said.
