Man shot dead while reportedly sleeping on couch identified

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Coroner's Office has identified a 21-year-old man who was killed early Friday morning after bullets fired into a home struck him while he was asleep on a couch.

Authorities say Terrell Wilson was shot and killed shortly after 5 a.m. at a home in the 2700 block of South Surrey Drive.

Investigators say two shots were fired into the home by an unknown person from outside, with one of the bullets striking Wilson who was asleep on a couch. The victim was later pronounced dead on the scene.

Police say there are no suspects at this time.
