Police: teen's body found after falling out of boat

MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - Officials with the Mount Pleasant Police Department say a 17-year-old's body was found Saturday morning following a boating incident in the area of Toler's Cove.

Police say they responded to the docks of Toler's Cove around 4:15 a.m. in reference to a male that had fallen off of a boat and into the water.

Rescuers found the body of the missing man around 6:00 a.m. according to reports.

Officials with the Charleston County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as Hugh Buyck. Coroner's say he died from drowning.

Officials with the Mount Pleasant Fire Department, Charleston County Rescue Squad, US Coast Guard, Department of Natural Resources and the Charleston County Sheriff's Office assisted Mount Pleasant officers with the search.
