Charleston Police say a cyclist was struck and killed by a car early Sunday morning on Folly Road.

Police say 62-year-old Charlie Goss died after being struck by an automobile at the intersection of Folly Road and George Griffith Boulevard. The cause of death, according to the coroner, was blunt force trauma.

Police say the Goss was traveling northbound in a southbound lane of Folly Road when the accident occurred. The motorist was not charged in the accident, police spokesmen Charles Francis said.
