GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Sheriff's Office says a 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged in a deadly shooting that took the life of a 36-year-old man in Lincolnville last month.
Authorities have charged Travis Michael Sellers of North Charleston with the murder of Ricardo Smith. Sellers was denied bond during a hearing on Friday.
Sellers was captured on Redbank Road in Goose Creek on Thursday by the Charleston County Sheriff's Office and the US Marshal Fugitive Task Force.
Sellers' arrest stems from an incident on May 24 at 9:24 p.m. when deputies responded to 110 Big Oak Lane in Lincolnville to investigate a shooting. According to deputies, Smith was shot at the home, then transported to Trident Medical Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Sellers is also charged with unlawful possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. Bond was set at $50,000 on that charge.
He's currently locked up at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
Sellers is expected in court Friday night for a bond hearing.
