Woman tells police she was drugged, possibly raped
NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - North Charleston Police is investigating a possible rape of a 45-year-old woman.
The victim told police that she was hanging out with two friends at a home on Alton Street and went to use the bathroom. She said when she came out of the bathroom, she was pushed and held down on the bed by her friends and given something to drink that made her pass out.
The victim then told police that when she woke up the next morning, her hands were tied together and her mouth was covered in duct tape. She said she escaped the home through the bedroom window and returned to her residence.
Police say they transported the victim to MUSC for further treatment and testing.
