Suspect sought after car chase ends with wreck near Citadel Mall

Officials with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office say a car chase ended with a wreck near the Citadel Mall.
Deputies had blocked off Hazelwood Drive Wednesday afternoon as authorities investigated the incident.
According to CCSO officials, the suspect's vehicle crashed into a parked vehicle following a pursuit.
Investigators say the suspect then fled on foot. Authorities were also seen searching for some type of evidence in the area.
More information is expected to be released.
