CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Officials with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office say a vehicle that was found submerged near a boat landing in Ravenel was a stolen car.

Emergency officials say crews responded to the area of the 4000 block of Ten Shillings Way near Bulow Boat Landing for a water rescue following a report of a submerged car Friday afternoon.

CCSO officials say that crews found the vehicle unoccupied.

Investigators say the car was reported stolen by its owner.

In addition to CCSO divers responding to the incident, emergency boat crews from the sheriff's office and North Charleston were deployed.
