Police: Teen accidentally shot himself in leg

North Charleston Police say a teenager accidentally shot himself in the leg in an incident on Big Ben Court.

Officers responded to the area of Big Ben Court on a report of a shooting, according to North Charleston police spokesman Spencer Pryor. Once on scene, officers determined a 15-year-old victim had a self-inflicted wound to the leg, Pryor said.

Police say the victim is being treated for a non-life threatening injury.

The weapon was located and the accidental shooting remains under investigation, Pryor said.
