Coroner's office identifies man killed in North Charleston shooting
NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC)
The Charleston County Coroner's Office has identified a 22-year-old man who was killed in a shooting this past weekend.
Authorities say Miquel Garnell Shine II died from a gunshot wound.
At 6:41 p.m. on Sunday, officers responded to the area of Rivers Avenue and Alston Street for a shooting.
When police arrived they found the victim laying on his stomach. A man, the victim's cousin, was on the scene and told police that the victim was his cousin.
Investigators found a spent shell casing near the victim, and located four other casings at a nearby open lot.
Witnesses told police an argument between the victim and another person took place, and later a vehicle pulled up to the area.
According to witnesses, shots were then fired striking the victim.
The incident remains under investigation.
