Police say a 20-year-old North Charleston man is accused of shooting his brother during an argument over money.

The North Charleston Police Department charged Damione Lamar Major with attempted murder, unlawful carrying of a firearm and possession of a firearm by certain persons.

On Sunday morning, officers responded to Roper Hospital on Northwoods Boulevard for a gunshot victim. Investigators say the victim, a 26-year-old man, was reluctant to cooperate at first, but later spoke about the incident.

According to the victim, it all started when he and his brother, Damione Major, got into an argument over money.

The victim said he was taking his brother to work and wanted money back that he had given his mother. Police say the victim and suspect then arrived at Buffalo Wild Wings where the dispute continued.

The victim reported that as the fight continued, Major shot him in the leg.

Authorities say the victim had a gunshot wound to his thigh. The victim told investigators that his brother did not mean to shoot him and did not want to file charges.

Major's bond was set at $150,000.
