MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - Investigators say a 35-year-old convicted sex offender is behind bars after he attempted to enter occupied homes in a Mount Pleasant neighborhood.
The Mount Pleasant Police Department arrested Corwin Maurice Alston on Wednesday and charged him with peeping tom second-offense and second degree burglary.
Police say the charges stem from a series of attempted entries into occupied homes in the Charleston National neighborhood.
According to police, the Charleston County Sheriff's Office has also served a warrant on Alston for failing to register as a sex offender.
Alston was locked up at the Charleston County Detention Center.
