CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston police say a 23-year-old man accused of stabbing a victim during an argument at the office of a downtown Charleston staffing agency Monday morning is in custody.
Police officials announced Tuesday evening that Esaup Wood was arrested. Wood is accused of stabbing another man multiple times during an argument over stolen sneakers at Trojan Labor on King Street around 5:50 a.m.
The victim, who suffered injuries to his torso, was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, police say.
Officials say Wood and the victim knew each other.
Wood was wanted for attempted murder and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
