Groundbreaking set for N. Charleston cold storage facility

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - A California company is breaking ground on a new 340,000-square-foot cold storage distribution facility near the Port of Charleston.

Lineage Logistics is breaking ground on Friday for the new facility that will allow customers to export frozen foods through the port. The site also has nearby rail access.

Lineage Logistics CEO Bill Hendricksen, state Ports Authority President and CEO Jim Newsome and state, county and local officials are attending.
