Beaufort County man accused of videotaping woman in his bathroom

BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A 40-year-old Bluffton man is accused of videotaping a woman in his bathroom at his Beaufort County home.

On Thursday, a woman told the Bluffton Police Department that she found evidence that Jeremy William Kemeny was secretly videotaping her while she was living at Kemeny's home on Rocking Horse Lane.

The victim said she found video of herself in the bathroom.

Investigators then reviewed the video and obtained two arrest warrants for Kemeny.

A report states as investigators were responding to Kemeny's home, they received information that Kemeny was attempting to flee the area, telling friends he would be moving.

Authorities said they located Kemeny on Buckwalter Parkway, and conducted a traffic stop where he was taken into custody.

Kemeny told investigators that he would not speak with them about the investigation. He was charged with two counts of voyeurism.

Police say they are in the process of executing a search warrant at Kemeny's home.

Investigators are asking anyone who had contact with Kemeny or believe they might be a victim to contact Investigator Danyov at (843) 706-4516 or Sgt. Heany at (843) 706-4589.
