Charleston police looking for SUV involved in downtown hit-and-run

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston Police Department is looking for an SUV that was involved in a hit-and-run in downtown that injured a pedestrian.

Police say the incident happened at 10:52 p.m. on Saturday on King Street near Carolina Street.

Investigators describe the vehicle as a metallic burgundy/red colored late 90s Ford Explorer.

CPD authorities say the vehicle was last seen driving down Carolina Street and likely has damage in the front grill area.
