SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - A suspect police say wore a disguise during a North Main Street bank robbery was arrested in Berkeley County on Friday with the help of U.S. Marshals, according to Summerville police.

Christopher Adam Mitchell, 24, was wanted in connection with the robbery of South State Bank on Wednesday. He faces a charge of entering a financial institution with intent to steal.

Mitchell was located and taken into custody on Friday afternoon, Summerville Police Capt. Jon Rogers said. Mitchell will be transported and held at the Dorchester County Jail Friday night and is scheduled to appear before a judge on Saturday.

Authorities said they were initially searching for an olive-skinned man between the ages of 50 and 60 years old after the suspect, who was dressed in a dark suit and was wearing gloves, robbed the bank at gunpoint.
