The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office says an amateur MMA fighter and his girlfriend have been arrested on drug dealing charges.

Investigators charged 26-year-old Kreed Cornell Bateman of Andrews with distribution of crack, possession with intent to distribute crack, PWID of a controlled substance and felon in possession of a handgun.

Deputies also charged 28-year-old Clarissa Priscilla Samuel of Andrews with PWID of crack and controlled substance.

The sheriff's office says the arrests stems from an investigation on Friday when the sheriff's office, DEU, and Georgetown PD executed a search warrant at the Devonshire apartments in Andrews.

A report states that agents recovered crack, pills and a .380 caliber handgun.

Both of the suspects were transported to the Georgetown County Detention Center.
