CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - TEDxCharleston is now accepting applications for speakers and performers for its 2015 conference.

With the theme "Embrace Chaos," TEDxCharleston organizers say they are looking for people to share how they confronted chaos, and used it as a way to establish creativity and change. Particularly, organizers are seeking folks in the areas of environment, education, parenting, philanthropy, technology, arts, food, fashion, healthcare, and more.

Those who make the cut will take the stage next year's conference. The date and location for the event has not yet been announced.

TEDx conferences are local, independently organized events that give creative visionaries and teachers a platform to share their stories and ideas, while creating connections with the community. The event is the offspring of the annual TED Conference in California, which features speeches from the world's best and brightest.

Applications for TEDxCharleston will be accepted until October 14.
