RAVENEL, SC (WCSC) - Charleston County deputies arrested a Ravenel man early Friday morning on a charge of criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature.

Donato Marcey, 36, is accused of punching and kicking a victim in the face and head, according to Charleston Sheriff's spokesman Maj. Eric Watson.

Deputies responded to a report of an altercation at 3:53 a.m. Friday, the incident report states. The victim told deputies Marcey was intoxicated and began beating her.

The victim had visible injuries to her face, including a black eye and swollen nose, the report states.

Deputies say Marcey left the residence in the victim's vehicle after the incident, and was located later at his parents' home in the Hollywood area and taken into custody.

He was being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center pending a bond hearing scheduled for Saturday morning at 10 a.m, deputies say.
