CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston police are investigating an early morning shooting in downtown Charleston that sent one man to the hospital with multiple injuries.
According to an incident report, officers responded to Bogard Street and President Street around 12:10 a.m. after a report of several gunshots coming from the area.
Police say they arrived to find a victim on the ground behind a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower part of each leg. A search of the area uncovered two shell casings in the street in front of 135 Bogard Street.
Investigators stopped a few people who matched the suspect's description and a K-9 was brought in, but the suspect was not located, officials say.
