Fire destroys N. Charleston mobile home

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston firefighters say a mobile home is a "total loss" following an early morning blaze at Summerwood Mobile Home Park.
Officials responded to a fire at 4:30 a.m. at a home in the 2200 block of Dunlap Street, just off Rivers Avenue near Ashley Phosphate Road.
A release from the North Charleston Fire Department states units arrived to find smoke and flames coming from a single-wide mobile home. It took crews about 15 minutes to get the fire under control.
Officials say the home was destroyed, but no injuries were reported.
Neighbors tell Live 5 News five people lived inside the home, but were not home when the fire started.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
