Hammond 40, Pinewood Prep 17 - The Panthers (4-4, 2-3 in SCISA AAA) fell on the road to the undefeated Skyhawks.


For Dorchester 17, Summerville 12

The Patriots (7-1, 1-0 in Region 8-AAAA) end their 15-game losing streak to their biggest rival. Datron James ran for two touchdowns, including the eventual game-winner in late in the fourth quarter. David Coccoli ran for two touchdowns for the Green Wave (4-4, 0-1); he played quarterback for the injured Sawyer Bridges.  This is the first time since 2001 Fort Dorchester has beaten Summerville, and its the first time the Patriots have knocked off the Green Wave with Steve LaPrad as the head coach (he used to be an assistant at Summerville under John McKissick).

Goose Creek 32, James Island 13 -

Tyrik Johnson ran for 276 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries as the Gators (6-1, 1-0 in Region 7-AAAA) won their their sixth game in a row. Dominique Jefferson was 7-13 passing for 158 yards and two touchdowns in the win. James Island (5-2, 0-1) actually led 7-6 at the half.

Stratford 33, Cane Bay 7 -

The Knights (5-2, 1-0 in Region 7-AAAA) jumped out to 17-0 lead to drop the Cobras (3-4, 0-1). Tyler Tekac, who was named to the Shrine Bowl this week, booted four field goals in the win. Stratford's defense forced four turnovers, and held Cane Bay to just 177 yards of total offense. Jamison Mobbs had a big game at quarterback for the Knights; he was 14-23 passing for 212 yards and a touchdown; K.J. Givens had 124 yards receiving and a TD.

West Ashley 9, Wando 0 -

The Wildcats (3-4, 1-0 in Region 7-AAAA) pitched a shutout at home. Anthony Vincelli caught an 11-yard pass from Justin Berry for the game's only touchdown. The Warriors fall to 4-3, 0-1.

Ashley Ridge 44, Colleton County 20 -

The Swamp Foxes (5-3, 1-0 in Region 8-AAAA) ended a three-game slide with an offensive explosion in Walterboro, The Cougars drop to 4-4, 0-1.

Hanahan 38, Orangeburg-Wilkinson 13


The Hawks (4-3, 2-0 in Region 8-AAA) opened league play with a convincing win on the road against the previously-undefeated Bruins.

Berkeley 42, Hilton Head 26 - The Stags (3-4, 2-0 in Region 8-AAA) get it done on the road, closing out a stretch of three games away from Moncks Corner.

Beaufort 47, Stall 0 - The Warriors (1-6, 0-2 in Region 8-AAA) continue to struggle. The Eagles are back above .500 at 4-3, 1-1.

Timberland 40, Johnsonville 0 - The Wolves (7-0, 2-0 in Region 7-AA) dominated the Flashes at home. Brandon Simmons ran for 124 yards and a touchdown on just six carries, and Ryan Hood was 7-7 passing for 173 yards and two touchdowns.

Academic Magnet 20,  Garrett 19 - The Raptors (6-1, 2-0 in Region 6-AA) used a 38-yard touchdown run by Trey Perry in the fourth quarter and a two-point conversion from Reece Moore to Josh Isaacks to rally for a victory against the Falcons (5-2, 1-1). Academic Magnet has now tied a school-record for wins in a season.

Bishop England 27,  Battery Creek 21 (F/OT) - The Battling Bishops (1-6, 1-1 in Region 6-AA) won for the first time this season, as Leo Albano hit Lawton Fosberry for the game-winning touchdown in the extra session. Drew Pampu returned the opening kickoff 86 yards for at touchdown for BE. The Dolphins drop to 1-7, 0-2.

Whale Branch 64, North Charleston 12 - The Cougars (2-5, 0-2 in Region 6-AA) could not hang with the Warriors (3-4, 2-0).

Woodland 33, Ridgeland-Hardeeville 0 - The Wolves (4-4, 2-0 in Region 5-AA) dominate at home.

St. John's 36, Lincoln 14 - The Islanders move to 4-3, 2-0 in Region 6-A, while the Yellow Jackets are now 2-5, 0-2.

Cross 54, Baptist Hill 8 - Dajon Gadsden return a kickoff 82 yards for a touchdown to help put the Bobcats (0-7, 0-2 in Region 6-A) up 8-6 early in the first quarter. It was all Trojans (3-4, 2-0) after that.

Military Magnet 32, Burke 29 - The Eagles (4-3, 2-0 in Region 6-A) came back from 14-6 deficit in the second quarter to give the Bulldogs (0-7, 0-2) their 24th straight loss.


Wilson Hall 28, Porter-Gaud 27 -  The Cyclones (4-4, 2-3 in SCISA AAA) came up just short on the road.

Northwood Academy 47, Palmetto Christian 0 - There is no stopping the Chargers (7-0, 3-0 in SCISA Region 2-AA) right now.

Williamsburg Academy 49, First Baptist 19

Dorchester Academy 35, Bible Baptist 28 - The Raiders (3-4, 2-1 in SCISA Region 2-A) have won three in a row.
