LADSON, SC (WCSC) - Officials with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office say they are investigating reports of two drive-by shootings in Ladson on Wednesday.

According to an incident report, the first shooting occurred along Von Ohsen Road around 10:53 a.m.

A witness told police he saw a Jeep chasing after a light in color Hummer towards Lincolnville Road at a high rate of speed. The driver of the Jeep was leaning out his window firing shots at the Hummer.

Officers say they found two shell casings in the road.

Police responded to a second report involving a drive-by shooting  just before 3 p.m. in the area of Clairmont Drive.

According to a witness, a light grey SUV was being chased by a navy blue SUV at a high rate of speed. A suspect was seen leaning out of the passenger side of the navy blue SUV firing multiple shots at the other vehicle.

Police say one shell casing was found in the roadway.

No injuries have been reported.

Lt. Christopher Brokaw says deputies are looking into the possibility that the two shootings are connected.
