Eastbound lanes of I-26 open after reports of vehicle fire

CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Eastbound lanes of I-26 are open after reports of a fire from a disabled vehicle just before noon on Friday.
The SCDOT confirmed lanes are open.
The disabled vehicle was reported one mile east of the University Boulevard/Ladson exit at approximately 11:40 a.m., according to the SCDOT.
At 11:50 p.m. SCDOT traffic cameras showed a backup to the College Park Road exit, roughly three miles away from the reported location of the vehicle.
