GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A 40-year-old Hanahan woman accused of a home invasion in Georgetown County is facing new charges.

Officials with the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office say Theresa D. Crawford has been charged in connection to two burglaries in their jurisdiction.

On Nov.21, GCSO investigators conducted a search of a home Crawford was reportedly to be staying in and located items associated with two separate burglaries. The first burglary happened on Nov. 14 at a home on Whitehall Avenue, and the second occurred on Nov. 19 at a home on Kings River Road.

The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office first charged Crawford last week with first-degree burglary in connection to a home invasion; Crawford had already been arrested by the Georgetown Police Department on unrelated charges when she was charged by the sheriff's office.

On the morning of Nov. 19, deputies responded to a report of a home invasion at a house on Shore Line Drive on Pawleys Island. The homeowner said she was inside her home, heard a noise and saw the front door open.

She told authorities that she saw a female subject leave the home, enter a sedan and flee the area.
