US Marshals arrest fugitive accused of assault that left victim with brain damage
CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Authorities say agents with the US Marshals Office have arrested a 37-year-old fugitive accused of an assault that left the victim with brain damage.
Kevin Anderson, who was wanted by the Charleston County Sheriff's Office, was taken into custody on Monday.
Charleston County deputies say on Jan. 11, 2014 Anderson punched a man in the face with a closed fist outside a strip club.
According to the warrant, the victim's head hit the pavement and suffered severe brain damage.
Deputies say he had to be taken to a residential home to continue his recovery.
Anderson confessed and told deputies he hit the guy because he feared for his own safety. Anderson was charged with assault and battery first degree.
Anderson was featured in a recent segment of Live 5 News' Most Wanted.
