Suspicious package leads to suspected drug dealer's arrest

SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - A suspected drug dealer is behind bars after deputies found marijuana while investigating a suspicious package in Sangaree.

The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office charged 36-year-old Chom Manisay with possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Manisay was locked up at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center.

Investigators along with United States Postal Inspectors made contact with Manisay at a home on Bayleaf Court, and with Manisay's consent searched a suspicious package.

A report by the sheriff's office states agents found 991 grams of marijuana valued at $10,000 in two bags in the package.

Investigators also seized a .45 caliber revolver.
