Body found during search ID'd as missing N. Charleston man

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The family of missing North Charleston man Ronald Myers says authorities located his body during a search Friday morning in a wooded area along Dorchester Road.

North Charleston police were conducting a joint search with The National Action Network for 56-year-old Ronald "Big Salt" Myers when the his was discovered.

There is no evidence of foul play and his cause of death is pending, according to the Charleston County Coroner's Office,

The search began at 10 a.m. behind the Festival Center on Ashley Phosphate Road, and stretched to a wooded area along Dorchester Road.

Myers left his Timbercreek Lane home on Sunday, November 2 some time between 5:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. and had not been seen since.

Alethia Ladson says her brother, who has dementia, often wandered from their North Charleston apartment on Timbercreek Lane back to their childhood home on Baxter Street.
