Eastbound traffic in N. Charleston back to normal following car fire

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Eastbound traffic on I-26 in North Charleston is back to normal following a vehicle fire Thursday afternoon.

SCDOT officials say the incident was in the area of Exit 205 to Highway 78.

At one point, authorities had shut down two lanes as crews responded to the scene.

No injuries have been reported by officials.

Motorists reported that the driver of the car got out safe.
