New HBO show to shoot in Charleston

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Another television show has decided to open up shop in Charleston.

Thursday, a representative for HBO confirmed the network's new show "Vice Principals" will shoot in Charleston.

The new comedy featuring "Eastbound & Down" star, Danny McBride, is slated for 18 episodes. The debut date still has not been confirmed and neither has the start date for production.

According to HBO, the show, which will be produced by McBride and Jody Hill (Eastbound & Down; Observe & Report) is about "a high school and the people who almost run it, the vice principals."

David Gordon Green and Stephanie Laing will also produce the show. HBO has not yet confirmed anymore details about the show.
