Ashley River Bridge lanes into downtown Charleston reopened
CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - All lanes on the Ashley River Bridge heading into downtown Charleston are once again open after an earlier accident resulted in major delays Tuesday morning.
Crews shut down two two right lanes on the Ashley River Bridge due to an accident just before downtown Charleston. The lane closures had traffic at a standstill, with delays stretching down Savannah Highway.
The Live 5 Holiday Inn Cam shows the incident has been cleared, and all lanes are open.
No word at this time on what caused the accident.
