CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The City of Charleston is asking for the community's feedback on Charleston nightlife and the midnight bar ban in effect right now.

The city formed a Late Night Activity Review Committee after the midnight bar ban passed. This one-year moratorium bans new businesses in certain areas downtown from serving alcohol past midnight.

City Council is considering possible ordinances and local policies for when that expires in September.

Next Wednesday, February 11, the city is hosting three separate sessions at the Charleston County Library on Calhoun Street in Downtown Charleston.

These meetings are open to the public.

The meetings will take place on the second floor of the library. The session times are 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
