BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Deputies have arrested five people in connection to several burglary cases in Berkeley County.
The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office arrested 22-year-old Christopher Dylan Mathers of Summerville, 22-year-old Jordan Marshall Gee of Summerville, 22-year-old Erin Elizabeth Jones of Summerville, 35-year-old Thomas Edward Fox of North Charleston and 42-year-old Robert Edward Markussen of Goose Creek.
On Wednesday, deputies executed four search warrants in the Goose Creek and Summerville areas resulting in the recovery of $20,000 in stolen property including two firearms.
Deputies with the Criminal Investigations Division, Narcotics Enforcement Unit and Selective Enforcement Team executed the warrants on two residences, one in Goose Creek and one in the Sangaree subdivision, along with a motel room in Goose Creek and a storage unit in Summerville.
As a result of the arrests, BCSO officials say detectives will be able to close at least 6 burglary cases in the Sangaree subdivision, as well as at least one burglary in Goose Creek, one burglary in Moncks Corner and one burglary on Daniel Island.
The suspects have pending charges including possession of burglary tools, felony-level receiving or possessing stolen property, burglary, possession of a stolen firearm and drug-related charges.
Officials say the investigations are ongoing and additional arrests and charges are expected.
